R&B artist Trey Songz was apprehended at Arrowhead Arena in Kansas City, Missouri, throughout an NFL championship game in between the Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills, authorities said Monday.

In a statement, the Jackson County Prosecutor’s workplace stated that Songz, whose genuine name is Tremaine Neverson, 36, was released early Monday. An investigation into the incident that resulted in his arrest is continuing, the statement stated.

Authorities did not state what charge Songz was reserved on and neither the district attorney’s workplace nor other local law enforcement agencies would state if a video released by the Kansas City Police Department, appearing to reveal an assault on an officer, was linked to Songz’ arrest.

An attorney and representative for Songz declined to comment Monday.

It wasn’t clear if there were other arrests at Sunday’s video game. The police department did not right away react to an ask for comment.

In a statement consisted of with the video, the authorities department stated the man presumably assaulted an officer after fans grumbled that he wasn’t following the Arrowhead standard procedure or state health department guidelines.

The guy allegedly declined to abide by demands from private security agents to leave the stadium, the statement said. When he declined, officers told him he would be jailed for trespassing.

The guy punched a policeman and put him in a headlock, cops stated, including that he was then apprehended without occurrence and scheduled at Jackson County Jail.

Mentioning the state’s sunlight law, the department said it might not release the name of a suspect who has not been charged with a criminal activity.

Songz, whose hit singles include “Say Ahh” and “Bottoms Up,” announced in October he had evaluated positive for Covid-19 The singer and rap artist made headings in December when his indoor efficiency at an Ohio club, with numerous largely maskless attendees, resulted in a citation of the venue for violating coronavirus policies.
