Ukraine‘s parliament on Sunday banned the symbols “Z” and “V”, frail by Russia‘s militia to promote its struggle in Ukraine but agreed to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy‘s name to enable their exhaust for academic or historical capabilities.

Yaroslav Zheleznyak, an opposition member, announced the choice on the Telegram messaging app, announcing 313 deputies had voted in favour within the 423-member Verkhovna Rada assembly.

Zelenskyy had vetoed an earlier version of the invoice and called for the two symbols to be allowed in shows in museums, libraries, scientific works, re-enactments, textbooks and same cases.

Neither of the two letters exists within the Russian alphabet. They’ve been broadly frail, in particular on Russian militia automobiles and equipment, to promote the goals of the struggle.

The Ukrainian parliament on Sunday moreover extended for one other 90 days, or until Aug. 23, the length of martial legislation within the country.
