In honor of Martin Luther King Day, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan sent out a personal letter and donated meal boxes to veterans volunteering for The Mission Continues, a company working to “empower veterans who are getting used to life at home to discover purpose through neighborhood impact.”
To support those offering, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex provided food, and revealed that they wanted to help volunteer in-person in the coming months. “In honor of this day of service, and in recognition of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and all that he meant, we wish to send our thanks and appreciation to the team at The Objective Continues,” the Sussexes composed.
” We’re so pleased with all the work you’re doing to support your community and hope you enjoy this small token of our appreciation,” Meghan and Harry continued. “Thank you for your service– today and every day. We look forward to joining you quickly! … Stay safe, and maintain the terrific work.”
Sharing a picture of the letter, and images of their volunteers posing with the food contributions, the main The Mission Continues account composed on Instagram, “We want to send a big thank you to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, in addition to Archewell Structure, for sustaining the volunteers of our LA Service Platoon with lunch the other day, so they can continue their hard work at the Compton VFW and help those residing in the Compton community! We’re genuinely honored to have their assistance! #MLKDayON.”
